Fancy that - a venture capitalist who blogs and, among other things, does book reviews, posts pictures of views from his house in Alaska (so jealous), plans to run a marathon in every states by the time he turns 50, and doles out helpful tips on all perspectives of venture funding. He also loves his dogs, Denali and Kenai, more than people, so he says.
I was recently introduced to Dogster by Jeff Clavier. My skeptical gene kicked in big time when I first heard about it (a social network for dogs – c’mon) but then I went and played with it and got to spend some time with Ted Rheingold (not surprisingly the “top dog.”) Woof – Ted totally gets it! I put up short profiles for my dogs – Denali and Kenai – just to see what would happen. So far it’s been a much more interesting experience than my MySpace page. But then again – I like dogs more than I like people.
Brad, thanks for the good reads over the last 2 years (although if I see one more VC investment in social networking software for millions of dollars, I'll scream - says she, looking for a last few dollars to complete our seed round of funding :) ).
