The ASPCA have a very useful section on their site on keeping your home poison-free for your animals. Given I've also been focusing on the same thing for Ellie, my 20-month old daughter, as well as for pets, I thought you might also be interested. Link
Have you had any experiences with your pets eating poisons in your house?
My parents' dog, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, once ate several pounds of chocolate I had brought back from England (everyone was sad!) and had to be admitted into hospital for a couple of days because she had heart problems and nearly died. It was my fault for leaving the chocolate on the floor after getting in very tired from jet lag. Who would have thought chocolate would be poisonous? Who would have thought such a small dog could eat so much?!
